Οne of our beneficiaries, H., who arrived in our shelter in Petralona in December 2021 has now become an adult and is ready to build his life as an independent and equivalent member of the Greek society.

During his presence in our shelter the boy, was provided with medical, psychosocial, legal, and educatiοnal assistance. Η. is a motivated, reliable and respectful person, who utilized the child protection framework and its provisions.

Since October 2022, H. is a recognized refugee, thanks to the appropriate support of the psychosocial team and the lawyer of the organization.

In 2022 the adolescent started participating in football trainings by AEK FC and at the same time he was having Greek and English lessons offered by the educators of the shelter. Since August 2022, the beneficiary is participating in KENTAVROS FC Vrilission team and since September he is attending the 1^st class of the 2nd Multicultural Highschool of Elliniko, in Athens. H. is very passionate about football, and he even participated in the school’s football team. Providing him with all the appropriate documents (residence permit, passport, AFM, AMKA, bank account) as well as with job counselling sessions, H. managed to find employment at a food company as a Sous-Chef in the mornings, while in the afternoons he is training with KENTAVROS FC Vrilission to follow his dream and become a professional football player.

H. is now living in an apartment offered by an integration program in Athens, in which he was referred by the psychosocial team of the shelter. We wish him to have a wonderful life and achieve all his dreams.
